Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Style/Design, Value for money
"At the Bass pro Shop looked at all the reels on display. Wanted to get the Sahara but after trying the Mitchell was amazed at how smooth it was. Seemed smoother and overall better than the Sahara and cost a lot less.
After over 20 fishing trips I was so impressed with the reel I bought the other 3 sizes. This is a very nice reel."

"For most people, Mitchell reels are synonymous with quality, at least the 300 series. I just happen to catch these Avocets on sale a while back, and bought one (I think it was $29.99). Excellent reel, dependable, and no surprises. Does the job well every time. I have a Shimano Sienna that I like using as well, but when I know I'm in big bass waters, I go for the Mitchell. Been using it about a year and a half now with no problems. All I do is spray some Reel Magic on it before I go out, and it's always ready. Good balance on a 6'6" medium action BPS Tourney Series rod. Highly recommended!"

Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Style/Design, Value for money, also very tightly put together
"I've never been a fan of mitchell reels UNTIL NOW. I bought the 2000 series to use for finesse fishing with lite (6-8#) mono. The drag on that little "jewel" was so impresive that I bought another Avocet in the 4000 size to use for throwing smaller crankbaits and unweighted and lite weighted soft plastics. I also like the retrieve, no wobble, just silky smooth performance. Try one, You'll be glad you did."
