"I first bought this rod to replace one I broke since I was just beginning with baitcast setups I went with the graphite series for the price. I got a 6' MH rod and it has been excellent. I fish Mark Twain Lake alot and it handles 3 and 4lb bass all day long with great sensativity and the stiffness to bring them out of brush. I also use it to catch grass carp at night and I have brought in a 35lb carp on this rod and it held up great. I plan on purchasing more of these rods to replace the others I have."

same problem, February 14, 2009

"I bought one of these and within a month the pistol grip came loose from the blank and spins around it.
No big deal, I bought it when it was on sale for 20 bucks. Bass pro usually makes a great product so I figured I'd order another one and give them another chance.
The second one took about two months and the handle did the same thing. For the $20 price tag it doesn't bother me, but if I had paid full price it would.
Otherwise a very good rod. Basspro Shops offered to replace them but I would have spent $20 bucks sending them back. I also have the trigger grip version of this rod and I have no problems with it."
