Average - dull line cutter, May 19, 2009
By Baxter21 (read all my reviews) (read all my reviews)

Advantages: Style/Design, Value for money
Disadvantages: Performance

"While these pliers are comfortable, the line cutter part is very dull. It takes 2-3 attempts to cut 12lb test monofilament line. I'll try to sharpen them manually, but they should have been sharp from day one."

solid product, April 5, 2009
By hojo022 from Fayetteville, AR (read all my reviews) (read all my reviews)

"Used these pliers almost 2 years with no complaints. Will be ordering a new pair, seemed to have misplaced the originals. Good solid product, worth the money."

"Purchased three sets of pliers along with some other items. Pliers were all different, some missing any teeth on one side and having poor alignment of the cut outs in the nose pieces. Opened the best looking one and found that there were very sharp edges near the hinge. As the looks of every plier was different, there could be some that would work okay. I am returning the unopened ones for a refund."

Will rust in salt water, June 24, 2008
By bpscardholder from Arlington, TX (read all my reviews) (read all my reviews)

"I agree with all reviews below, but want to warm others that these pliers WILL rust in ocean water. I bought them for a camping trip at the beach, because it is "stainless steel" I thought it would be fine. After about 2-3 hours in the water, I notice the cutting edges turned dark, then part of the pliers turn dark as well.
I now have a rusted pair of "stainless steel" pliers!!!"
