Snappy!, August 7, 2009
By SkiAndFish from Summit County, Colorado (read all my reviews) (read all my reviews)

Advantages: Ease of use
Disadvantages: Durability

"I bought my little guy a White River Hobbs Creek 8' 4wt and we had lots of fun with it until it snapped at the tip while retrieving about a 14" fish. We took it back and asked for a beefer rod... this is when I got him a Classic 8' 4wt. We took it out for the FIRST time and were having a great time catching lots of the 8"-10" brookies when it snapped just below the middle joint while casting!!! I took it back and had no problem returning. I then asked for a rod that wasn't too expensive, but included a Lifetime warrenty. We got a TFO for $149. Spend the extra for the piece of mind! My experience with the White River Rods has unfortunitely not been very good!"

Don't buy it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, July 21, 2009
By Chevy702 (read all my reviews) (read all my reviews)

Disadvantages: Durability, Performance

"Mine broke in in 5 years! I was casting it and it broke 6in from the handle. My friend broke his too just casting it. His broke where the two peaces connect.

I just got the Redington SR4 it is wonderful. Its a lifetime warranty.

Spend the extra $50 and get a better fly rod"

Simply a Workhorse Rod, June 14, 2008
By ChrisS from North Carolina (read all my reviews) (read all my reviews)

"This rod is has been my workhorse rod for the past 5-6 years. I primarily use it for Panfish and small Largemouth Bass. It performs exceptionally well for me. It's got the right action for a quick set and my 4wt has landed 5lb'ers with no problems.
The dozen or so times I've taken it to the mountains ir has performed equally well. Often out performing my much more expensive Sage. I prefer this rod to everything that I have tried that I can afford.
A great buy, especially for the price."
