Not bad - but better reels at the same price point, May 13, 2009
By NorthShoreTiger from SE Louisiana (read all my reviews) (read all my reviews)

Advantages: Performs well, Quality, Style/Design
Disadvantages: value for money

"I purchased this reel and liked it very much until I bought a Citica. I found it to be a bit noisy on the cast and not perform as well as the Citica in holding and fighting power when tied into large reds and black drum. There is nothing really wrong with it, but a less expensive reel edges it out in performance so I cannot recommend this reel."

Good little reel but...., March 20, 2009
By Trojan from California (read all my reviews) (read all my reviews)

"I've had this reel for a couple years now. I've caught a bunch of fish and even had fun catching some dorado on it in Mexico. The reel is still pretty smooth but the drags aren't the greatest on the reel. I think this reel would easily compete with the Revo and Curado if the drags were better. They don't have the stopping power of the Revo nor the smoothness which I have in my curado. Still at the price it can't be beat."

POWERFUL!, July 20, 2008
By SaltySouth from Hilton Head, SC (read all my reviews) (read all my reviews)

"This is such a powerful reel. When I first got it, I took it bass fishing to break it in and hooked what I thought was a 2 pound bass. When I brought it in, it was over 5 pounds! It is great for redfish and small tarpon especially. The drag is smooth and quiet and the frame is super solid. I would not hesitate to cast to a 20 pound fish with this reel. You will enjoy it."

SuperDuper Reel, May 26, 2008
By bigbubba1k from Delaware (read all my reviews) (read all my reviews)

"Living in Delaware, and fishing mostly Tidal inter-coastal waterways can be very punishing on equipment--no matter what the cost....
I found these reels after buying the last 2 Extreme Inshore leftovers in Hanover last year, and I have been greatly surprised as to their action, durability, and usefulness...
They need very little maintainance(-light fresh water spraying will sufice-)-You can cast just about any weight you wish with or against the wind and if properly set-up there are very very very few professional overruns....
Best investment for the $$$$ for anyone that fishes brackish, tidal or intercoastal waterways---these reels will handle darn near everything in Neptunes waters"
