"Rigged on 20# power pro and a shrimp or shrimp lure on a jighead underneath it is deadly on trout. However it is impossible to keep other species away. The rattle works on everything from ladyfish to catfish and everything in between. It will catch fish for anybody. The float rig is bulky and akward to cast at first but casting is effortless once you get the hang of it. The trick is to pause between twitches of the rod tip. this gives the shrimp a chance to sink close to the bottom. The stike almost always comes on the pause. The rattle almost perfectly imitates a fleeing shrimp. It is so effective that it draws hits on a bare jighead. It is incedibly simple to use and consistantly catches quality fish. I have never had more fun than fighting a leaping running, ladyfish to the boat. The 18 +" trout were what we were there for but the ladyfish was a nice bonus. Don't be fooled into thinking it is just for novices. Please tell me if you can find any professional guide or tournament angler who would turn down a 50 fish day. I'm not joking, we literally had a fish on every cast. The cork put the shrimp in the perfect place every time and transmitted the strike very clearly. If you want to catch fish this is definetly for you. It will outfish every method."

"This product works excellent. Much better than a slip cork with a bobber stopper. I catch my limit of specs on a daily basis in mobile bay using this set up."
