"I had this reel for 3 months before it broke. The reel was smooth casting. I had caught some nice bass with it. On one trip to Florida the flippin switch jammed and I had to throw it away. It was a great reel while it lasted. I don't know if it was defective or something but I still like Quantam."

"I have to start off by saying that I have started getting serious about my fishing in the past two years. I plan to start fishing some BFL tournaments in the next year and I decided to upgrade all of tackle and I have found that these reels are great for the money. I use these reels for all of my Crankbait/ lipless baits and even use the burner series for my spinnerbait and plastics. The only reason I didn't give them a five is beacuse I have only been using them for about 6 mos and I am unsure how they will hold up over time. But so far I have no complaints. I will say the first thing you need to do is lubricate the reel before the first use. I used mine a couple of times without extra lube and it was ok...but after I added some hotsauce to it it seemed to really come alive!!! If you are looking for quality reel with out spending a couple of hundred bucks these are the ones to look very closely at."

"ok so i bought the KVD baitcast reel, and i was a little worried that it wouldn't be up to pair with some of the other reels that i have in my collection. Well i was very suprised about its performace, it is one of the most smooth casting reels i've ever owned. I would recommend this product to anyone who loves to fish with bait cast reels. In fact i'm going back today to get two more to add to the collection."
