"I purchased a 7 ft. Medium action rod with the 6.3 gear ratio reel I believe. Either way it doesn't matter on the details. I love this rod almost as much as my Fenwick walleye spinning rod. Definately my favorite baitcasting rig. I have caught a ton of bass on it and the lighter tip makes the little taps very noticeable when fishing soft plastics. I have yet to catch any fish this year on spinnerbaits. It works great for crankbaiting as well. I landed some northern pike last week on it trolling and casting up to 30 inches. It is a good all around rod and the flipping switch works great. You do have to remember to turn it off when casting. It is worth every penny and I recommend this as a great buy. I wasn't a big Quantum fan this is my first and they have impressed me very much with this combo."

"Well i got this combo yesterday for my birthday and it is great . the rod has 10 eyes and is super sensitive ,and the reel is nice reels smooth. i use to think to my self ,how do the pros cast and flip so far with very little movement and on the first cast i knew."
